We are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join our team and help us deliver quality software solutions that are fit for use and purpose. This role is hybrid and will be based from our Malmo (Sweden) office.

What will you be doing in this role?

As a Software Engineer at Tunstall, you will design, develop, and enhance software solutions that improve the lives of people across the Nordics. You will work within a collaborative development team to build robust, maintainable, and high-quality applications that meet business and customer needs.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Design & Development – Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following Tunstall’s architecture, standards, and methodology.
• Code Review & Documentation – Participate in peer reviews and produce clear technical documentation to support maintainability.
• Application Support – Enhance and maintain existing applications by adding features and resolving defects.
• Testing & Quality – Perform unit and integration testing to ensure solutions meet defined requirements.
• Innovation – Stay up to date with technology trends and contribute ideas to keep Tunstall at the forefront of digital innovation.
• Collaboration & Planning – Work with Project Managers, Architects, Product Owners, and fellow developers to deliver features on time, with the right quality.
• Process & Compliance – Follow Tunstall’s quality procedures and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge Sharing – Collaborate with colleagues across teams and share best practices to ensure alignment with Tunstall’s technology strategy.

The Ideal candidate:

Any experience of working within a business moving from Legacy to modern systems and working collaboratively with colleagues both locally and in other regions. Good knowledge of SDLC would be useful too.

Required skills and experience

• Essential:
  • Proven experience in commercial software development (.Net / C#.
  • Strong knowledge of software development principles and lifecycle methodologies.
  • Proficiency in producing clear, maintainable code and technical documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies.
• Desirable:
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with modern development tools, frameworks, and cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of healthcare, IoT, or safety-critical systems.
